Soeun used to be a trainee of FAVE Entertainment. A trainee is a candidate, a person who might possibly debut after training (vocal, choreography, etc.), to become an idol. Check out what Soeun did before her debut below!

Weeekly’s Soeun’s Participation in MIXNINE

Before her debut, Soeun participated in the survival show MIXNINE in October 2017 as the representative of FAVE Entertainment. However, she didn’t manage to get into the debut lineup since she was eliminated in Episode 7. MIXNINE was a survival show held by JTBC with the support of Yang Hyun-suk, the producer of YG Entertainment who selected trainees from all the agencies in South Korea. Soeun only finished in 55th place in MIXNINE.

Weeekly’s Soeun Joined FAVE GIRLS

After being dismissed from MIXNINE, Soeun came back to her agency, FAVE Entertainment. Later on, in 2018, she was selected as the fifth member of FAVE GIRLS, revealed on October 24th, 2018. Fave Girls were also popular as LOEN Girls and Play M Girls. From time to time, the group was doing changes in the lineup several times. On May 11th, 2020, they finally named the group Weeekly, with the current members.

Weeekly’s Soeun’s Debut

Soeun debuted as a member of Weeekly on May 11th, 2020, with the mini-album We Are. The group was made after the merger between Plan A Entertainment and Fave Entertainment to become Play M Entertainment. Weeekly consists of seven members including Soeun, Soojin, Jiyoon, Monday, Jaehee, Jihan, and Zoa. Soeun debuted after being a trainee for 4 years in Play M Entertainment.

Weeekly Released “After School” in March 2021

Weeekly made a comeback with the EP We Play, with the lead title track “After School” on March 17th, 2021. The song has been so fun and cheerful with their colorful outfit.
